commercial Charger FAQs

This will depend on the charging point options you choose, however your employees will be able to charge their vehicles by inputting their vehicle registration mark into the charge point or using a mobile phone or a card/fob.

This will depend on the charging point options you choose, however you can have complete control over how you wish to offer your charging points to your employees and visitors.

You can allow EV drivers to either simply plug in and charge for free or pay for their charging session.

You can customise your charging tariffs to suit your financial requirements, and you can also offer flexible pricing models.

As an example, you could assign particular tariffs to individual groups; employees may be able to charge for free whilst visitors pay for their charging session.

As the demand for EV charge points increase, your businesses may need to increase the number of EV charging points.

Most EV back office management platforms allow the addition of unlimited extra EV charge points, which means you can add EV charge points to a system we install.

The only restriction is the amount of funding that can be claimed under the OVEZ Workplace Charging Scheme.

Yes! With the OVEZ Workplace Charging Scheme (WCS) you can reduce the cost of workplace charge points by up to £14,000 with the government WCS grant.

Eligibility checklist:

This grant is currently capped at £350 per socket and you can have up to 40 sockets. Read more on available grants here.

As the demand for electric vehicles increases, so does the demand for electric vehicle charging infrastructure.

Whatever your business, now is perhaps the right time to add EV charging points at your workplace premises, whilst OVEZ funding is available to take advantage of.

We provide a full range of chargers from all of the biggest brands, with a range of features and speeds (higher kW equals a faster charger).

The main options for charger speed are:

  • up to 22kW
  • up to 50kW
  • up to 350kW

Typical optional features are:

  • RFID card enabled
  • App-based access for all charging users
  • Universal socket versions

With RFID charging a driver could leave an RFID card in the vehicle so drivers can always access charging, regardless of who’s driving.

When you contact us we will discuss your needs and recommend the appropriate EV charging solution for your business.

These are two different kinds of connectors for charging an electric car. Most will be a Type 2 connector as most cars use this type of plug as it was mandated by the EU that all plug-in cars from 2014 must have a Type 2 socket.

There are some cars that have the older, differently shaped Type 1 socket, such as the Mitsubishi PHEV. But these are rare.

Type 1 to Type 2 converters are available to make your charge point universal.

We also offer universal plug socket versions of EV chargers and therefore a vehicle owner would attach their own charging cable.
